While your service to this Country often goes unrecognized, I hope this post expresses my heartfelt gratitude to you Veterans, and what your unwavering dedication and commitment to duty imbues. Your dedication, bravery and sacrifice shall and will not go unnoticed. I am truly honored to have this opportunity to convey my sincere appreciation to and for you.
I can only imagine your stories while on post, in a battle theater, and your moments of quiet reflection during difficult times. Rest assured your service has shaped, not only yourself and your life, but also the lives of your loved ones, family, friends and those you lost along the way. We shall also remember them on this day. Your duty to Country, at times in the face of adversity, is a testament to you and your brethren’s strength of character and resolve.
On this day of remembrance, we Salute you; we Honor you. And we shall not forget those that gave it their ultimate sacrifice. With a simple closing, I say, sincerely:
