IT’S JUST ANOTHER DAY

Today’s post was submitted by Rey Gonzalez. Thanks Rey, for an excellent piece.

Wake up in the morning, fix yourself up and find yourself drinking a cup of coffee, only to make it to the office (if employed), develop a plan to execute the day’s chores at home, and/or tend to the full-time job of the kids all day.  At the office, the in-box papers grow. For those at home, the chores become apparent when you realize there’s something else to do or that needs to be done before you get started on that project you planned to accomplish. You take a break, drink another coffee and sometimes find it hard to stay awake. We turn on the tv and find the non-stop 24-7 cable news voices reading a prompter and opining on what clearly is a news story…just the facts ma’am. As Don Henley sang: ” I make my living off the evening news. Just give me something, something I can use. I just have to look good, I don’t have to be clear. People love it when you lose, they love dirty laundry…

And just like that, it’s just another day. What has made life more stressful, less intellectually informed, less apt to critical thinking, and produced dialogue that has little or no stimulation? What has us less connected to others, divided in thought and awakened the brainless, ignorant, dullness of the wokeness cult/sect? Well, we have MSM, academia, social media, politics and idiots. If you don’t agree with factual history, then we change the facts, twist the portrait description to fit a particular narrative the best suits our opinion. And it is all purposely done. Some swallow the bait, hook and sinker, while others pause to ponder the “where on earth did this idiot appear from.”

There’s a method to the madness being perpetrated on our children, those adults who tend to absorb the one-sided punditry and not think for themselves, and, of course, we have those higher-educated intellectuals still putting off/delaying paying their student debt because they can’t find a job in their chosen educational field.

The overwhelming amount of information spewed on a 24-7 cycle is not news anymore. Actual news stories, requiring only those facts that explain when, where, how, who and what happened to the a “normal” person has now become a story with smothered opinions and bias comments. It is not difficult to observe such unethical journalistic efforts that are intended to produce revenue….the bottom line.

I can understand that idiocy on social media wanna-be’s; putting out just a clip or photo with comments that are just moronic and imbecile. But the MSM is not far behind with the immediate release of news that is not factual, corroborated, or investigated. A simple “so and so said” suffices in putting out an article. How many times will they get it wrong and not release a redaction, correct the record or explain the “we got it wrong”? It don’t matter. And it won’t matter until such time as the Sandman and Rittenhouses of the world start pounding civil suits and winning.

So, it’s just another day.

You don’t really need to find out what’s going on. You don’t really want to know just how far it’s gone. Just leave well enough alone, eat your dirty laundry.

Remember class: “Kick ’em when they’re up, kick ’em when they’re down. Kick ’em when they’re stiff, kick ’em all around.”

It’s just another day.

I read the news today oh, boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well, I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn’t notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They’d seen his face before
Nobody was really sure if he was from the house of lords
