The Gall of It All

What is so up with America’s messaging to the Black Community? All last week, there is nothing but public’s trashiest way to target any type of information to our people. Some people, like New York Governor Andre Cuomo, just see Black bodies as tools to be exploited and it is so outdated and very tiring as a Black person living in the States today.

First, with covid vaccine awareness. Those in power touted out Hank Aaron getting the vaccine, Madea taking to us to get the vaccine and now a RUN DMC hip-hop add telling us to trust without debate. I don’t see Spanish, Asian of LGTB videos that do the same thing. In each, a stereotype of the Black American as uninformed or misguided in making our own personal medical decision is on full display for ALL Americans to see. It is as if our serious distrust for the medical community is taken for granted and even mocked. They didn’t even get more relevant and up-to-date hip-hop artist to do the terrible deed.  We aren’t addressed as people with real concern for how the vaccine can negatively impact us and our children.

Second, using ebonics and AAVE (African American Vernacular Englilsh) or even jive to speak to us. Biden and other politicians use words like “aint” went talking to us and tell us what we “better” do, like we are children. You have a medical professional saying things like “gangsta” cells when speaking to Tyler Perry about the corona virus vaccine. We are often talked down to as if we don’t even have the common sense to understand basic English, our own native language even.

Finally, we have a representative from the Virgin Islands and former candidate for Georgia governorship Stacey Abrams who are both democrats that use race to divide our electorate. Both interjected race into commentary where there was no need. Both seem to think that being Black is a pass to do wrong. They hump on racism where there is none to excuse things that have nothing to do with race. If calling for people to fight is incitement, it should not matter if the person calling for it is Black or not. And if our system has built in racism, how did Georgian elect Abrams to our state gov’t numerous times or vote for Obama for President both times? Just because it is a Black person pushing a narrative does not mean it isn’t one that is bad for Black Americans. Liberals, especially, have abad way in talking to minorities but get a pass because it is cloaked in caring. They don’t care or we would get talked to like White liberals do.

It is the gall of it all that angers me. No other race gets talked down too or treated with kid gloves like the American Black community. We are often patronized in the media like we are children and every single subculture uses our struggles to uplift themselves. It is partly because Black liberals allow it to advance their overall agenda and that many make so much money off of the grievance of our community. BLM raise billions that helped a single Black family.

Black America isn’t a community of hapless individuals needing white liberals to bash white people on our behave, patronize our medical concerns with hip-hop songs dismissing them, or afraid of so called white supremacy. The gall of it all is what motivates me to change the public discourse and involve myself into political commentary. This has got to stop. It is not only wrong but it will cost the left in the future.
