Today, we celebrate 240 years of the United States of America. Despite the current ridiculousness going on in just about every facet of our society, I believe the USA is still the greatest country on earth. We are going through some rough times right now, but I think we will come out stronger for going through those times. We are a resilient people. We are a strong people. These aren’t the types of people who make headlines or become publicity seeking activists, but they are what make America, America.
So, for today, I am going to put aside my cynicism, pessimism and fear, and focus on and celebrate just how awesome this country is.
