84 years ago today, forces of the Japanese Imperial Navy attacked Pearl Harbor, Hickam Field, Ford Island and other US military targets on the island of O’ahu, Territory of Hawai’i.
Let us never forget that act of infamy, and always remember the prophetic words found in the diary of Japanese Imperial Navy ADM Isoroku Yamamoto: ‘I fear all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.”
Let the United States always remain that giant with a terrible resolve to eliminate those who threaten and attack us.
