Charles James Kirk (October 14, 1993 – September 10, 2025). Founder of Turning Point USA, husband, father, Christian and a man who happily engaged in a dialogue with anyone. Especially those he disagreed with. In all the videos I’ve watched of him, never once did he raise his voice or insult the person he was debating. He simply presented his view and challenged others to think rationally about their ideas.
As I said earlier, I am trying to avoid embracing the vitriol that is seeping into my heart. I’m holding off on voicing my opinion until I can stay rational. I won’t try to understand why the shooter did this. Evil needs no reason for its actions. I will share a very good quote that came out shortly after he was killed:
They shot and murdered the man who willingly sat and debated them.
They’ve shown there is no longer room or a place to debate.
