The recent Annunciation Catholic School Shooting has ignited, again, the gun control issue. Thrown in for good measure is the “no need or use for prayers” talking points. The mental illness component of transgenderism does not come up. The fear of discussing such is directly related to offending such group of individuals. And it appears, more and more, that the medical community is in some ways aiding and abetting misguided souls to commit such atrocities.
The Mayo Clinic defines gender dysphoria as a feeling of distress that can happen when a person’s gender identity differs from the sex assigned at birth. (Note to self: gender is, on many occasions, assigned at sonogram time. And societal norms continue to hold gender reveal parties pre-birth. But hey, that’s just my opinion). Some transgender and gender diverse people feel at ease with the bodies and gender identities and do not suffer from gender dysphoria. Such a diagnosis is included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, as published by the American Psychiatric Association. The diagnosis was created to help people get access to the healthcare and treatment they need. And this is where we are failing.
It is my opinion that one is not trapped in another body. They are trapped in their minds. If you’re born with a penis, you are a man; if you’re born with a vagina, you are a woman. Chromosomes dictate this. Biology explains this. If you desire, love or relate to the same sex, it is very acceptable today. In fact, nobody else really cares. You do you. You deserve to be happy. And no, it is not a right, nor do these people have less rights than any other. However, if you carry that much weight of hate, it is not dysphoria you’re experiencing. It is evil; it is loathe and detest. Unfortunately, the medical machinery has not addressed this the right way. The make-more-money way? Yes. And they are destroying lives in doing so.
The number of posts, publications and bait-reads declaring that there is a war on transgenderism is alive and well. It is everywhere. If said often enough, it becomes real for some. I don’t see it that way. I sure as anything don’t practice it. And while out in public, I never notice this hate or war against any LGBTQ/Trans. What I do notice is this trend of pushing it front and center, in my face, and making me acknowledge you or it. You see, I don’t have to. My kids don’t have to. I don’t make you acknowledge my straightness. Apparently, this common sense does not sit well with some. I have gay friends. I have lesbian friends. We get together at times. We enjoy dinner or a show or a community event outing. Why hate? Ain’t nobody got time fo dat!
If one assault rifle heinous crime is enough to talk about nationally, how many heinous crimes committed by a transgender dysphoric is enough to delve into the real issues? Is it time to discuss and address? Sure is. Way past time. I don’t hate LGBTQ/Trans. I dislike schools lying to children to groom and pervert them. That is child abuse. I dislike doctors and Pharma who fill their bank accounts while mutilating mentally ill children. They should be prosecuted. Men’s brain are designed to work well with a good balance of testosterone. Women’s brain are designed to work well with a good balance of estrogen. When the body does not get the correct balance of hormones, it affects the brain and health increasing mental and physical illnesses.
