Today is the 81st Anniversary of D-Day – the storming of the beaches of Normandy by Allied Forces, which broke the back of the German war effort in WWII. Let us all spend a few moments to remember the dwindling numbers of that day, the true heroes of the Greatest Generation. Those who faced those cliffs at Pointe du Hoc, and other locations along Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword landing sites, as well as glider and paratroop landing sites behind the beaches.
We owe them a debt that can never be repaid.
