Thurgood Marshall Makes History

49 years ago today, Thurgood Marshall became the first black United States Supreme Court justice. While he did help usher in Roe v. Wade which, in my opinion, was what tipped the scales in America and started our rapid decline, his appointment is worth noting.

My view on how he did his overall job on the Supreme Court? I think he and President Obama would have been great friends. My opinion is that he legislated from the bench based on how he thought the Constitution should say and not on what it actually said. Disregarding the process of how to change laws, Marshall, like Obama, just used his pen to create “rights.”
