Bill Banning Gender-Selective Abortions Passes Committee in Louisiana

I’m doing my happy dance this morning in honor of this step forward for girls and women! Yesterday in Louisiana, the House Health and Welfare Committee cleared legislation, the Pre-Natal Non-Discrimination and Sex-Disclosure Act (HB 701), that if passed by the state legislature and the governor, will ban abortions of babies based on the determination of being the “wrong” gender.

Sex-selective abortions overwhelmingly kill female babies. It is not a common American practice, but many other cultures prefer their first born to be male. As more and more people immigrate to the United States, they are bringing this genocidal atrocity with them. Sadly in America, the leader of the free world, the shining light of equal rights for everyone, there is no federal law prohibiting abortion based strictly on gender. However, eight states–Illinois, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas and North Carolina–have passed laws prohibiting it.

If you are in Louisiana, please contact your representatives and tell them to pass this bill. If you are in one of the other 41 states that has no such law, or it has such a law in progress, contact your representatives and encourage them to write and pass one. The ultimate war on women starts in the womb.
